About Me
Monique is a natural-born storyteller. She has a true talent for captivating her audiences with exciting tales of her world travels, hilarious memories of her childhood, and fascinating stories of her adventures. Her journey began in the North Okanagan, British Columbia Canada where she discovered her passion for working with children. After graduating from college in her early twenties, she began her career as an Early Childhood Educator. Now, in the summer, she helps operate a campground in British Columbia with her loyal companion, a dog named Odin. When she is not busy, she likes to spend time with her family, and she enjoys writing and sharing her stories for a lasting impact on future generations.

“Here, Grandma, here!” Grandma could hardly believe her eyes. In front of Carlee was the biggest pumpkin she had ever seen.
“Wow!” was all Grandma could say as she sat down in the cool, long grass. Carlee climbed on top of the humungous pumpkin.
“This is the best pumpkin in the whole world, Grandma,” clapped Carlee proudly. “I really like how gigantic it is. It is almost as big as me.”
“Look out, Grandma!” Out of nowhere an excited wiggly dog came bounding out of the grass. He was so excited that he knocked into poor Grandma, causing her to lose her balance and her hold on the pumpkin.
“Carlee! The pumpkin!” screamed Grandma as the giant pumpkin started rolling slowly down the hill.
“Oh no!” exclaimed Carlee. They watched the pumpkin gain speed as it tumbled down the path.
“Oh dear!” cried Carlee as she covered her big green eyes with her hands. She was too afraid to watch as the pumpkin rolled right toward the lemonade stand! The kids there scattered in all directions as the huge pumpkin smashed into the table, sending the lemonade, cups, ice, and chairs flying into the air. That did not stop the pumpkin! It kept rolling down, down, down the hill, getting faster
